Abstract preparation guidelines
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF ABSTRACTS: 4. April 2005. Abstracts will be published in a special abstract book.
1. Abstracts MUST be submitted electronically as e-mail attachments and in addition on paper. Only abstracts typed within the abstract form will be accepted. Please download abstract form to your computer, edit it and mail it to thorunnd@icelandtravel.is. Direct on line editing is not possible. To save abstract form to your computer, right click on abstract form and choose: save target as...
2. Abstracts for presentation at the XXth Nordic Medical History Congress will be selected for importance of topics, clear focus and overall interest. The title should be clear and concise and typed in capitals. The presenter´s name should be underlined.
3. Abstracts must be written in English. Please type abstract within the box on the attached form, using 10pt Times New Roman font, if possible. (Smaller fonts are not acceptable). Abstracts can also be pasted into the abstract box from your word processor, but please check that any special characters/ symbols appear correctly. If necessary, please spell out special characters in full. Inserting the abstract into the abstract box should not cause the abstract form to exceed one page.
4. If diagrams are used they should be pasted into the abstract box. Tables if used should be clear and simple, and should be typed in the abstract box as tabbed text or as an MS Word table.
5. Please indicate, by ticking the appropriate box, whether an oral or a poster presentation is preferred.
6. Type name and full address, including phone and fax numbers and e-mail, of the presenting author, in the space provided on the abstract form.
7. Please note that final acceptance of abstracts is dependent on the author´s full registration. Completed Registration Form with payment must be sent to the Congress Secretariat. The presenting author should keep one copy of the abstract for his own records.
8. The abstract form must be submitted as an attachment to the e-mail address: thorunnd@icelandtravel.is
An original of the abstract (on paper) must be mailed to the Congress Secretariat. This should be identical to the abstract submitted electronically. The Congress Secretariat will acknowledge receipt of abstracts.
